These 6 weeks have been very interesting and very informational. I have consumed a lot of information that has been very enlightening to me and beneficial for me during my Early Childhood Education journey. It is very disturbing to me to see and know that we have so many children that are suffering because they either can't afford a particular program or they live in an area that does not have the necessary resources to meet their educational needs. I cannot stress enough the importance of early child care and education therefore, not having these resources is detrimental to the development of our children and has an effect on our nation's future. The children are our future. I remember reading a writing from one of my fellow classmates and she was speaking about how this issue is so vast it gave her a feeling of being a little fish in a big pond as professionals and advocates for these children we sometimes feel like we will not be heard.
Zero to Three is the newsletter I chose from the beginning of this course. This newsletter is one of many that share information concerning the well being and the developmental behavior of our children. All babies need positive early learning experiences. All child care arrangements, including family, friend, neighbor, and family based child care have a potential to provide quality experiences (ZerotoThree.org).
