1. What issues regarding quality and early childhood professionals are being discussed where you live and work?
The expansion of preschool programs is a significant step toward helping all children
enter school ready to succeed. Illinois, Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma have developed innovative financing structures to support services for at-risk infants and toddlers that provide lessons for other states. These four states are committed to making a significant investment in providing the highest quality of services for infants and toddlers.
2.What opportunities and/or requirements for professional development exist?
the growth of Early Childhood Education programs in 2- and 4-year colleges and universities and efforts toward establishing a common core of measures of early childhood professional development. A critical step toward professionalism of a discipline is the establishment of a credential defining the qualifications for those authorized to work in the field.
3. What are some of your professional goals?
Shared ownership and active involvement from all levels of the organization,Time to plan and implement new skills and strategies, to practice, and follow up and a clear purpose and direction.
Being able to read concerning different issues concerning professional development and other things was very enlightening and informative. I really enjoyed reading this newsletter.
