Sharing Resources
For this weeks assignment we are suppose to return to the resource of choice to get some views on the topic for this week. My resource choice was Zero to Three newsletter. In researching concerning thoughts of economists and politicians in regards to investments in ECE these are some of their views. America's future rests on the shoulder's of today's youngest children. Their early experiences will shape the architecture of their brains in enduring ways and build the foundation- whether strong or weak- for their own development and that of our nation (zerotothree.org). The unintended consequence i read was that in order for the early childhood programs to be effective they must be organized cohesively within the system but, unfortunately the U.S. lacks a comprehensive vision for supporting young children and their families. The information in this newsletter that seems relevant to my field is the fact that it is recognized that the early stages of a child's life are the most crucial to the development of our children and the future of our nation. This newsletter also talks about the different programs and policies that out nation prioritizes while setting a course for the future. I believe that Zero to Three envisions a nation that will support the healthy development of our children.

I too enjoy the ZERO to THREE website. One main reason is because I am an infant teacher and the website has so many invaluable resources on infants. Even though I love working with children of ages, I also really enjoy working with children below three years of age. Many parents I know have shared with me the help they have received from being able to connect with other parents on this site. Thank you for sharing!
